Obituary For William Roeschenthaler

January 16, 1940 - January 24, 2018

Roeschenthaler, William, age 78, peacefully with his family by his side, on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 of Baldwin Boro, formerly of Mt. Oliver. Loving husband of 58 years to Doris (Evans); beloved father of Bill (Diane), Wendy Mahony, Tracy (John) Dailey and Jill (Brett) Zuder; proud pappy of Garrett, Kallie, Kyra, Emma, Abby, Haley, Ryan and Brady; brother of Ted (Midge), George (Darlene) and the late Paul, Ralph and Rich (survived by Pat). Also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Bill was well known as the proud owner of the Mt. Oliver Hofbrau for 55 years. He was at his happiest when spending time with his family, rooting on his favorite sports teams and when at the casinos. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Parish, St. Albert the Great Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private. If desired, family suggests contributions to Family Hospice & Palliative Care, 50 Moffett Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15243.

    Doris, Wendy and family, I am so sorry that you lost your wonderful dad and husband. He was such a fun, fun guy! Always had a hug for me at the casino, when I ran into him.     So very sorry, Doris and family. Words seem inadequate, but know they are sincere. Bill and family are in our prayers. Peace be with you. I remember Bill's 1956 Ford " Blue Moon " louvered hood, baby moon's. I still think it was of the coolest cars I've seen. Love LaVerne and Paul
