Healing takes time. We provide continuity of care from the first point of contact to bereavement support if needed.
We provide support for grieving families and friends of loved ones in a number of ways, including:
Newsletter
The Companion is quarterly newsletter that the primary aftercare person receives for 12 months following the funeral service. It offers hope and healing with articles about the grief process, information on local support groups, as well as items contributed by readers.
Holiday Memorial Service for All Loved Ones Lost the Previous Year
The Christmas holidays can be especially difficult the first year after a loss. Our annual candlelight memorial service is held to honor the memory of those who died in the previous 12-month period from November 1 to October 31. An invitation to join us in prayer is extended to all families and friends.
Personal Contacts
A member of our AfterCare Services staff will contact you to provide support, answer questions, and talk to you about additional services available if you need them.
Funeral Pre-Planning
Thinking about death and your own mortality is common after the loss of a loved one. It can be a bit surreal for most people, but pre-planning the details of your own funeral brings you peace of mind and eases the stress on your loved ones in a time of stress and grief knowing that they are honoring your wishes.
Referrals
There are sometimes legal and financial matters to deal with following a funeral. If you find that you need professional assistance and are concerned about finding someone reputable, we can provide you with referrals for these services. Our staff members are also knowledgeable about a variety of other subjects, including veteran’s benefits, Social Security benefits, filing insurance claims, personal care home placement, and more.
CareNotes™
CareNotes™ are concise, easy-to-read booklets that provide messages of comfort and healing. We have specifically selected titles for those who have experienced a loss.
