Hessler, Albert A. "Al", age 91, on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 of Whitehall, formerly of Knoxville.

Beloved husband of 69 years to Mary Anne (Crowe); loving father of Michael (Christine) Hessler; grandfather of Philip (Natalia) Hessler, Lisa (Christopher) Handly of Franklin, TN, Andrew (Bora) Hessler and James Hessler; great-grandfather of Miller Handly; brother of Dolores Groll. Al was a proud Army Veteran who belonged to the American Legion Post 712 in Pleasant Hills. He was a retiree of Sargent Electric Co. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, 15227 on Friday from 5-7 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 10:15. Mass of Christian Burial in Nativity Church at 11:00 a.m.
