Age 95, on Monday, April 8, 2024, of Castle Shannon.

Beloved husband of 68 years to Dorothy Louise Makstutis; loving father of Linda Lasick, Patti (Jeff) Rager and the late Michael Makstutis; grandfather of Tricia (David) Lopez, Katy (Armaugh) Oceguera, Peter (Nicole) Makstutis and Michelle Rager; great-grandfather of Elias and Micah Oceguera and Camden and Bennett Makstutis; son of the late Frank and Nellie (Moskevich) Makstutis. Al was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and met his wife Dorothy while they were both stationed at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, NY. He retired from working with Allegheny and Northwest Airlines and enjoyed his retirement fishing with Dorothy, spending time with his beloved family and recalling his wonderful memories of his 95 years of life. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 2-8 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
