I fondly remember Mrs. Barch when I lived near her in Brentwood. She and her husband were always nice to my family and me. She was always pleasant and always had a smile on her face. So glad she lived to 100! Prayers for her family at this difficult time.

My sweet Aunt Dona (AD). I spent so many summers with her, Uncle Dick and the boys when they lived on Meadowbrook. We had such fun. My Mom and AD were very close sisters and I am sure my Mom was waiting for her in heaven. Now they can be together again. Every time I went to Pittsburgh, I visited with AD. Last saw her in August. I am so sorry John and I could not be at her Memorial. We are in Ireland on vacation. Hugs to all the boys! Chris Meade, Fishersville, Virginia

Mrs. Barch was the first person to greet my mom, Kit Sokac, with a big smile and opened arms when she moved into The Residence at Whitehall, about 4 years ago. They ate all of their meals together and often talked about when they both were volunteers at St. Sylvester's Church together and shared many memories of living on Brownsville Road in Brentwood and raising their large families back in the good old days. My mom missed her dearly when Mrs. Barch moved to the 4th floor. She often made the trek up to the 4th floor to sit and visit with her. Sadly, my mom passed last month, but it comforts me to know that this time, my mom welcomed your mom with opened arms and a big smile! My prayers are with you at this sad time. So sorry to hear of Dona's passing, my mother Mary and I enjoyed sitting with her at the Residence. When she and Mom were on the 1st floor, I remember Dona was so excited the day I fixed the TV for her. She was such a sweet lady!
