Medvan, Alice Jean, age 84, of Scott Township. After living gracefully after a stroke over 14 years ago, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 of Scott Township. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas Medvan; devoted mother of Michael (Danielle) Medvan and Karen (Michael) Kozel; sister of the late Arthur and Ralph Moeller and Marie (Moeller) Wagner; dear grandmother of Joseph and Kendra; dearest great-grandmother of Joseph and Charlotte. Alice was loved by all at her Kane home where she was so lovingly cared for and cherished, for the last 15 years. Jean brought joy to many with her polite smile and kind greetings. In her days at Kane, she loved watching the Pirates, playing Bingo, and attending church services. She will be most remembered by her loved ones as always being available for family when needed. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m.
