Obituary For Alice S. Zabielski

January 31, 1932 - August 11, 2017

Zabielski, Alice S. Age 85, on Friday August 11, 2017, of Baldwin Borough, formerly of Johnstown, PA.

Wife of the late Robert J. Zabielski; daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Stinely of Johnstown; mother of eight children, including Mary (Paul Riordan) Zabielski, Ellen (Nick) Gozik of Webster, NY, Richard (Ruth), Robert (Rita) of Westborough, MA, Thomas (Debbie) and Regis of Erie, PA; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister of Regis Stinely and the late Richard Stinely, Robert Stinely, Mary Ann Zubrow and Patricia Larimer.

Alice attended primary and secondary schools in Johnstown before attending the University of Pittsburgh where she met the man with whom she would happily spend the next 63 years.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Tuesday, August 15, 2017, 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Wednesday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 10:00 a.m.

    Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of Alice Stinely Zabielski. The Stinely family were the first people I met when I came to Pittsburgh in 1956. They all have a very special place in my heart and I send my love and respect to each member of the family.
