Age 94, on Monday, July 19, 2021, of Baldwin Borough. Beloved husband of 67 years to the late Rita M. (Blinkiewicz) Dentel; loving father of Diane (Robert) Reichenbach and Judith (Timothy) Kielbowick; loving grandfather of Hunter and Hayden Kielbowick; brother of August (Charlotte) Dentel and the late Albert Jr., Elizabeth Lotz, and Frederick Dentel. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Aloysius served in the Korean War, where he earned his Combat Infantry Badge and two Bronze Stars. Early in life, while employed by Gardner Displays, he was involved in the 1962 Century 21 Exposition/Seattle World’s Fair and the 1964 New York World’s Fair. Later, in 1989, he retired after 24 years from Harbison-Walker Refractories Company. Friends and family will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Saturday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial with military honors in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Wendelin Church on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. His family thanks the staff at Paramount Senior Living, Bethel Park, for providing purpose and companionship during his last months.
