Obituary For Aloysius "Ned" Holzwarth

December 12, 1926 - November 29, 2016

Holzwarth, Aloysius "Ned" Age 89, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, of Baldwin, formerly of Mt. Oliver.

Beloved husband of Ruthann (Hanson) Holzwarth for over 67 years; loving father of Debra (Gary) Wanberg, Renee (Jack) King and Scott (Eva) Holzwarth; grandfather of Sean (Veronica) Courtney, Michelle (David) Patterson, John Ryan (Kimberly) King, Elizabeth (Charles) Simmons and Matthew King; great-grandfather of Michael, Sean, Sam, Charlie, Payne and Bria; survived by a brother James and sister Rose Marie Nowicki. Ned served in the National Guard at the age of 15 and later joined the US Navy at the age of 17 where he proudly served during WWII in the Pacific Theater. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Saturday from 3 until the time of celebrating Ned's life at 6 PM. Interment will be Monday at 12:30 PM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies,1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017, with military honors.
