Mittelmeier, Alvin C.,

Age 88, on Friday, April 25, 2014, formerly of Arlington and Brentwood.

Beloved husband of 67 years to Dolores "Sis" Mittelmeier; loving father of Judy (Bob) Sproat, Terry (Fran) Carik, Diane (Bill) Wilson, Mark (Diane), Cynthia Mittelmeier (Chris Curtis), and Matt; proud grandfather of Eileen, Elizabeth, Justin, Nate, Andrea, Alex, Adam, Brent, Ben, Leah, Aaron, Sarah and Jonathan; great-grandfather of 16; brother of the late Louis Mittelmeier. Proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 6- 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 2- 6 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Monday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh, 2821 Sarah Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203.
