Weber, Anastasia, age 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Somerville, NJ but was born in Pittsburgh on May 10, 1926 to parents John and Mary Sliwinski. She was one of a family of five children. Anastasia was proud of her Polish descent and enjoyed polka music, Polish food and supported both of her sons as they played in various Pittsburgh polka bands. She saw and enjoyed the simple and beautiful things in life, whether it was a patch of flowers blooming, a sunny day or a walk in South Park. She was a kind, thoughtful and generous person, always putting others ahead of herself. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, admiring their personal and academic accomplishments, frequent travels and their choices in fashion. She loved to travel and attend her grandchildren's activities while living in NJ. Anastasia was loving wife and mother to Edward Weber and Gary Weber both of whom had passed earlier in life. She is survived by her son Jim Weber and his wife Kim, grandchildren Chelsea, Taylor, Paige and Austin, her loving sister, Irene Zemba, along with several nieces and nephews. A private mass and cemetery service will be held in Pittsburgh at a future date. Donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
