Wilk, Ann M. Wilk (Benhart) Age 97, entered into rest on November 3, 2016. A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, formerly of 3022 Hazelhurst Avenue. Ann received great care over the past eight years at Atria Senior Living in Baldwin and recently, ManorCare in Whitehall.

She was preceded in death by her late husbands, John E. Benhart and Anthony R. Wilk, two brothers, Elmer and Theodore Brandtone, sister, Catherine Hutnik, and grandson, Bobby. Ann was born on July 29, 1919 in Brentwood, daughter of the late Theodore Jacob Brandtone and Anne Veronica Mussing. She was very fond of her late stepfather, Wilber George Schaefer. Ann was a retired beautician and worked at Alberta's Beauty Salon, Brownsville Road for many years. She is survived by her son, Dr. John E. (Patricia) Benhart, Sr.; grandson, Dr. John E. (Jacque) Benhart, Jr. and granddaughter, Cristen (Peter) Breski. Ann was blessed with five great-grandchildren, Carlee, Haley, Jake, Lauren and Peter. She was given special and loving care by her stepdaughter, Cheryl, and niece, Mary Kay. Nieces, Peggy (Bryan) Kennedy, Judy (Jack) Frost, Sandy (Rodger) Johnson, Kathy Borock, and Mary Ellen Brandtone provided loving care and comfort for Ann. Her husband, the late Anthony, had four children and five grandchildren. Ann was a member of many senior organizations and the 1810 Women Auxiliary. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. Visitation continues Monday morning from 8:45 a.m. until the time of the Funeral prayer at 9:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Apostles Parish/St. Wendelin Church at 10:30 a.m. Family flowers only and memorial contributions can be made to St. Wendelin Catholic Cemetery, 3198 Schieck Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15227.
