Obituary For Anna M. Mariano

May 4, 1919 - July 4, 2019

Mariano, Anna M. (Uhlir) Age 100 , on Thursday, July 4, 2019, of Hazelwood .

Beloved wife of the late Francis A. Mariano; loving mother of Carol (the late Richard) Cagle, Linda (Stanley) Bujak, Joann (Jerry) Hayes, Jane Small, Nicholas (Carolyn) Mariano and John (Kim) Mariano; devoted grandmother of nine; proud great grandmother of 12; daughter of the late Adolph and Anna Uhlir; sister of the late Carl and Walter Uhlir. Anna worked for the University of Pittsburgh in food service until she was 78 years old. She enjoyed her garden and anything outdoors and was a lifelong member of Holy Angels Parish. Anna will be greatly missed by all who knew her. There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Angels Church will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Everyone please meet at the church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements made by John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227. In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions to Oakleaf Personal Care Home, 3800 Oakleaf Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15227.
