August 16, 1915 - November 14, 2017 Fisher, Anna W. Anna W. Fisher died on November 14, 2017 at the age of 102. Daughter of the late Leo and Annie Ruffing Walker of Clairton, Pa. Wife of the late Leo L. Fisher, who worked for the Defense Department. Predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. Beloved friend of the late Rita M. Roegge. Mother of Philip (Elaine), David (Sandy), Susan (Howard), Judith, Leo (Sue) and the late Michael (Mary Ella). Also survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Born in Clairton, Pa., a resident of Olancha Avenue Brentwood for 65 years, and of Independent Living, Asbury Heights, Mount Lebanon for nine years. Graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School of Nursing. Life long volunteer and traveler. Warm friend to many, avid reader, homemaker, scrabble player, environmentalist and lover of nature, above all Cook Forest, Pa, the scene of many happy days over ninety years of visits. Family, friends, and neighbors will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Saturday, December 2, 2017, from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. where a blessing service will be held at 12:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy are encouraged.
