Obituary For Anthony F. Marbella

Age 88, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 of South Park. Beloved husband of the late Margaret T. Marbella; father of Lori, Maria and Paul Marbella; brother of Norita (the late Bobby) DeMeo and the late Carmen (survived by Cass) Marbella. Also survived by nieces, nephews and their families. Tony served in the US Army during the Korean War where he played trumpet in the marching band. He joined his first band at the age of 13. Playing the trumpet was his lifelong passion. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Tuesday 2-6 p.m. Funeral prayer on Wednesday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, Holy Angels Church at 10:30 a.m. If desired family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.     I met Anthony a couple of months ago . I am a nurse and had the pleasure of caring for him . He made the staff smile 😊. He told us stories about his life . Always kind to the staff and it meant a lot . I will always remember him as one of my favorite patients. Rest in peace Anthony. I had the privilege of meeting his children also 😊.     Patty Perry

    I knew your mom and dad when they were patients of ours at the dentist office where I used to work. They were always so friendly and nice. When they would leave Tony would reach into his pocket and hand me a "Dove" chocolate. I thought that was so cute! My deepest and heartfelt sympathies go out to all of you.
