Obituary For Antionette "Toni" (Burak) Herbst

On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, of Baldwin Township, formerly of Dormont.

Beloved wife of Jim; loving mother of Stephanie (Adam) Chapman and Jimmy (Jess); grandmother of Christian "CJ" and Charlie Chapman and Keira Herbst; daughter of John and the late Maryann Gajewski; sister of Barbara (Dan) Soroczak, Patty (Craig) Falk and John (Kari) Gajewski. Also survived by many loving in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 2-7 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Monday at 12:30 p.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Pittsburgh, 1133 South Braddock Avenue, Suite 1A, Pittsburgh, PA 15218.

    So sorry to hear of Toni's passing. When our boys were playing lacrosse together, Al and I had so much fun with Toni & Jim watching the guys play and socializing. Good times with a good-hearted lady. Rest in Peace, Toni. So sorry for your loss, Jim, Jimmy & Stephanie.

    Al and I are at a loss on what to say. Toni Lynn was such a large personality who brought fun and adventure to everyday events. Telling me my husband was a figment of my imagination to taking on a powerful female in the US government-while we vacationed in Costa Rica (and Toni won).
