DeMonica, Antoinette "Noonie", age 100, died peacefully at her sister's home on, Wednesday, January 7, 2015. She was born on June 15, 1914, the fourth of nine children of immigrant parents. She worked for many years at the North Pole Ice Cream Company retiring in 1979. She cared for her parents and was always available to lend a hand to her beloved nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sister, Theresa Petrone, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and neighbors who are like family. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at which time a blessing service will be held. Interment will be held privately in Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church, 5200 Greenridge Drive, Pittsburgh PA 15236.
