September 13, 1922 - July 28, 2016 Ihrig, Arthur L., Age 93, passed away peacefully at St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars, PA on Thursday, July 28, 2016, of Brentwood .

Husband of the late Patricia J. (Matthews) Ihrig; father of Arthur R. (the late Leah), Marsha (Steven) Grabowski, Matthew (Annmarie), Bruce (Lori), and the late Pamela (the late George) Fonseca; grandfather of Melissa, Heather, Stephanie, Brian, Julia, Patricia and Kayla; great-grandfather of Dylan, Victoria and Maddison; brother of Bea (the late Red) Rogers, Louis(Joyce) Ihrig and the late William (the late Gerry) Ihrig. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Art served as a Military Police Officer in the US Army during WWII in Europe. He was a serviceman for Allegheny County until his retirement and a life member of both The Brentwood Volunteer Fire Department as well as VFW #1810, Brentwood. Art very proudly received his high school diploma from Dormont High (Keystone Oaks) at the youthful age of 90. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. and Monday, August 1, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Tuesday morning at 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 a.m. If desired, family suggests contributions to Brentwood Volunteer Fire Company P.O.
