Obituary For Bartholomew King

Loving husband of Suzanne King; beloved father of Reauelle (Jeff) King, Mary Shannon (Todd) Santee, Sean King, Megan King, Vincent (Ashleigh) King and Casey (Cindy) King; adored pap pap of Jon, Andrew, Rhett, Harper, Charlie, Finnegan, Griffin, Keegan, Maggie, Emmett and Monreau; son of the late Bartholomew and Ethel King; brother of John, Peter, Mary Ann, Gerard and the late Patricia, William, James, Elizabeth, Janet and Richard. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bart was a lifelong Steelers fan and was heavily active in his children's activities in Western New York. His work as an accountant began in Olean, New York, and took him to Europe and Texas before returning to New York until his retirement. Bart spent three years in Ghana, Africa, as part of the Peace Corps, served in the US Army and worked for US Steel while attending Duquesne University. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Wednesday morning at 9:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Sylvester Church at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Meals On Wheels.     Papa King was one of the best. He and Sue opened their home to so many kids in Portville. It was like a second family for so many. Always tinkering on the VW. Truly present at all times. He will be so sadly missed. Love to the entire King Family.
