Serratore, Benedict P. Age 100, a good and faithful servant of the Lord, passed peacefully on Saturday, December 30, 2017, under hospice care at St. Clair Hospital.

Loving husband of 69 years to the late Veronica "Vera" Serratore; cherished father of Sister of Charity Joyce Serratore, Veronica "Vicki" (Charles) Whitelaw and Benedict J. "Bud" (Sharon) Serratore; son of the late Peter and Antoinette Serratore; brother of the late Catherine, Phyllis, Joseph, Helen and Henry. Also survived by many devoted nieces, nephews and their families. Proud WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Corp. Founder of the South Pittsburgh Realty Co., serving the South Hill for over 60 years. Active in both his community and St. Gabriel's Parish. Longtime member of American Legion Brookline. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Monday, January 1, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Tuesday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10 a.m. Entombment in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Sisters of Charity Seton Hill or St. Gabriel Church.
