Obituary For Bernadette K. Sedlar

November 1, 1934 - June 13, 2016

Sedlar, Bernadette "Bernie" (Kovac), on Monday, June 13, 2016, of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Whitehall.

Loving wife of 40 years to the late Robert D.; beloved mother of Cydney Jill Sedlar and Robert E. (Sharon) Sedlar; sister of Jean Cameron, Mary Kay Cox and the late Alberta Wilson; proud grandmother of Teddi, Adele, Jorja, Gabrielle, Bobbi and Virginia Sedlar; also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Bernie worked 13 yrs. for Westinghouse/ Bettis and 23 yrs. with the Pittsburgh Public Schools. She was a member of Dormont AARP, St. Elizabeth Senior Group, and was a hospice volunteer. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Saturday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Germaine Church at 10:00 am. If desired, family suggests contributions to Gateway Hospice, 9380 McKnight Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
