Passed peacefully in his home in Baldwin on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Born on September 15, 1936 in the South Side of Pittsburgh, he was a graduate of St. Canice High School, Class of 1954. He also served in the US Army. Bernie was a proud steelworker for 30 years. He loved gardening, fishing and watching sports on television, but most of all, he loved his family. In addition to his parents, Andrew and Vilma Elias, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sally and son, Alan. He is survived by his five children, Martin, Keith (Kelly), Phil (Suzy), Bill and Michele (Carlo); his four grandchildren, Nathan, Ryan, Chelsey and Carluch, his siblings, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the John F.
