Obituary For Bernard Joseph McGroder III

January 13, 1971 - December 31, 2017

McGroder, Bernard Joseph III, age 46, unexpectedly on Sunday, December 31, 2017 of Mt. Lebanon, formerly of Bethel Park and Whitehall. Beloved father of Bernard Joseph McGroder IV; loving son of Florence and the late Bernard Joseph McGroder, Jr.; baby brother of Colleen (Mark) Eckels, Sharon (Denny) O'Hare, Maura (Andy) Huff, and Beth McGroder; proud uncle of Brian, Brandt, Shane, Lauren and Annika. He will be missed by his new puppy Jewel. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday and Friday, January 4 & 5, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 8:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Benedict the Abbot Church at 9:30 a.m.

    To the family and friends of Bernard. I'm very sorry for your loss. Something that brings me comfort during difficult times like this are the promises found in Gods word the Bible. At John 5:28,29 it talks about a resurrection. One day soon we will be able to welcome our loved ones back to earth with out ever having to lose them again! What a wonderful time that will be!
