Age 87, on Monday, May 18, 2020, of Whitehall. Beloved husband of the late Eileen T. (Schmitt) Funtal and companion of the late Mary Milinski; loving father of Carol Ann (Joe) Rockenstein, Janet (Scott) Vanderslice and Diane (Loran) Skinkis; devoted grandfather of Amanda (Brian Alge) Pearsol, Amber Pearsol, Tony Pearsol, Kevin Skinkis and Audrey Skinkis; brother of Joseph Funtal and Francis Funtal and the late Catherine Krass, Carl, Thomas, Andrew and Albert Funtal. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Bernie was a social member of the VFW Post 1810. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, dancing to polka music, napping (but still watching TV) and spending time with family. He was selfless, giving and ready to joke around with anyone around him.
