Balzer, Betty M., age 94, passed away on January 29, 2019, formerly of Castle Shannon.

Daughter of John and Thersa Hoffman; beloved wife of Edward Balzer; loving sister of the late Rosanne Hoffman and Albert (Pearl) Hoffman. One of the Golden Girls with her sister and lifelong friends, Betty DeAnthony and Mary Basik. Also survived by a nephew and five nieces who loved her dearly. Betty was a loving, generous woman. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, February 1, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 8:45. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anne Church at 9:30 a.m.
