Obituary For Betty Schlegel

Age 98, of Brentwood, formerly of Mt. Oliver, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Richard H. Schlegel; loving mother of Marilyn (Patrick) McElhinny and Richard A. (Kathy) Schlegel; cherished grandmother of Kevin McElhinny and R.J. Schlegel; daughter of the late Mary and William Leist; preceded in death by her brothers William and Harvey and her sister Sr. Marietta (Pearl) Leist OSF; also survived by nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Friday, March 26, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 10:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Sylvester Church at 11 a.m. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to.
