Obituary For Brandon E. Thomas

Brandon E. Thomas, age 17, of Pittsburgh, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 27, 2023 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was born December 12, 2005 in Pittsburgh to Shatera Linnen and Brandon Thomas.

Brandon was going into his senior year of high school. He enjoyed playing basketball for Carrick High School's JV and Varsity team as well as Carrick Elite AAU team, of which he put his heart and soul into. He enjoyed playing video games, live streaming his play, and spending time with his friends. He loved his family above all and had a special bond with his twin sister.

He leaves behind his mother, Shatera Linnen of Pittsburgh; father, Brandon (Tanika) Thomas of Washington; a brother, Daijon Beckett of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Nevaeh Thomas (his twin) and Ny'Asia Thomas both of Pittsburgh; two stepsisters, Shamari Satterfield and Aniya Satterfield both of Washington, PA; a maternal grandmother, Brenda Howard of Pittsburgh; paternal grandparents, Robert Gore and Annette Thomas of Pittsburgh; several aunts, uncles, cousins, a nephew and a host of friends that were family. Brandon was preceded by his sister, Dajanai Crenshaw and his maternal grandfather, Philip Linnen.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Chapel at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Myron Jones officiating.
