Obituary For Carol A. Foytick

Foytick, Carol A.
Age 86 of Whitehall, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2022, peacefully surrounded by her family.

Beloved wife of 66 years to Joseph Foytick. Loving mother of Cheryl Barry, Ann (Kevin) Plecenik and Joseph (Sherrie) Foytick; sister of Jim (the late Christine) Ochtun; aunt of Hope Ochtun and Christopher Ochtun and family; grandmother of two and great-grandmother of four and will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Preceded in death by her parents John and Matilda (Vesonder) Ochtun of Duquesne. Carol loved caring for her family as a homemaker. She was an avid gardener who loved trying to grow new flowers of all types and was a craftsperson who enjoyed making each of her family many items, such as a new table decoration that she surprised them with each Christmas. She was devoted to her family and friends. Carol helped take care of her disabled daughter in her home for over 14 years. She leaves a legacy of devotion to family, friends and a belief in God and is a true testament of kindness to everyone. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Thursday, July 28, 2022, 4-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Friday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 1501 Reedsdale Street, Suite 105, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.

    Joe, Jim, and all the rest of you. I know you will miss her so very much. She was a special person, loved talking to Carol, she always had time for me on the phone, no matter when I called.
