Obituary For Carol A. Unrue

September 19, 1936 - July 23, 2015

Unrue, Carol A. (Brown) Age 78, of Dormont, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, July 23, 2015.

Beloved wife of the late Paul F. Unrue; loving mother of Paul F., II (Harmony), Cheryl N. Unrue, Cindy A. (Gary) Carlisle, Christine A. (Kevin) Unrue-Reilly, the late Carol A. Preik and son-in-law Dwight Preik; cherished grandmother of 15 and proud great-grandmother of 19. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was beloved by many. Her family was by her side at her passing. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227, Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Tuesday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pius X Church in Brookline at 10:00 a.m.

    Dear Paul, Cheryl, Cindy, & Christine, My heart goes out to you on the loss of your mother. Aunt Carol was one of the most treasured souls that I knew in my life and I am glad to have shared so much time with her. Please be assured of my prayers for each of you and your families during this time of grieving. She will be greatly missed! I have many great memories of her and our families together and those I will treasure forever. I wish I could be there for the funeral but circumstances do not allow my presence. Please know that you will all be with me in spirit on Sunday and Monday. I love you all!

    Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of your mother and grandmother. Carol was a beautiful person and I am so glad she was a part of my life. Heaven just got another angel. Blessings, love and prayers, Carol Brown CSJA your mom and I always laughed about my "name" being the same as hers!!!
