Obituary For Catherine B. Keating

October 17, 1931 - May 8, 2016

Keating, Catherine B. (Watkins) Age 84, on Sunday, May 8, 2016, of Overbrook, formerly of South Side.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph A., Jr.; loving mother of Linda K. (the late Robert L.) Baumiller, Cathy M., Joseph A. III (Anna), Edward R. (Catherine), Raymond E. (Donna), Lorraine A. (Ken) Street and Jayne F. Minsterman (Terry Thompson); proud grandmother of 13 and great-grandmother of 11; preceded in death by brothers and sisters. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Catherine volunteered for many years at Kane Regional Center in Scott Twp. and was an avid member of Overbrook Senior Center. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, on Monday from 5-8 pm and Tuesday from 1-8 pm. Funeral Prayer on Wednesday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Norbert Church at 10:30 am.

    Jayne, Words fall short of expressing how sorry we feel for your loss. Losing a loved one is never easy. Your mother was the sweetest little lady that loved her family and was proud of you all. It's never easy to understand God's plan but we must trust him. Your mom waited to say good bye but she will always be with everyone of you. Watching over all right alongside of your father. That she waited so long to be with. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family in this time of sorrow. May the sorrow you feel in your hearts be lightened by the love that surrounds you.
