Obituary for Catherine L. (Schnippert) Kletter

Age 68, on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, of Crafton and Mt. Washington.

Beloved wife of 45 years to Lawrence Richard Kletter; loving mother of Leslie Anne (James) Klapperich, Lawrence Andrew (Lauren) Kletter, Emily Louise (Kyle McCormick) Kletter; cherished grandmother of Abigail Marie Klapperich; daughter of the late Thomas R. and Elizabeth Jane (Fox) Schnippert; sister of Judith (Dean) Kniola, Elizabeth "Betsy" (the late John) Kitzmiller, Thomas "Tom" (Cheryl) Schnippert, William "Bill" (Terry) Schnippert and the late Margie Schnippert. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Catherine graduated from Duquesne University in 1974 with a degree in Biology and Education and was in the Inaugural Masters in Informational Sciences graduating class from the University of Pittsburgh in 1984. She taught at Holy Ghost High School, St. Phillip School in Crafton and St. Bernard School and as a devout Catholic, she taught CCD at St. Phillip Church. Catherine also worked for the IRS. Due to the current health crisis, visitation will be private. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Sylvester Church (following diocese guidelines of 25 or less people). If desired, family suggests contributions to St. Sylvester Church, 3754 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227 or St. Phillip School, 52 W. Crafton Avenue, Crafton, PA 15205.

Grew up on LaBelle St with the Snippert family. They were/are such lovely people and left a lasting memory of the love they share with each other and their fellow neighbors. My deepest sympathy to the family

Larry, Leslie and family.. sorry to read of Cathy's passing today in the paper. She was a wonderful person. I was so glad to know her thru my sister Amy and Larry.
