Obituary For Catherine M. Ford

August 10, 1933 - January 7, 2018

Ford, Catherine "Kay" (Moore) Age 84, on Sunday, January 7, 2018.

Adored wife of the late James H. Ford; cherished mother of MaryAnne (Carl) Wiberg, James, Kathy, Kerry (Ed) Tomkowitz and Marcie Ford; much-loved grandma of Greydon and Kathleen Tomkowitz. Also survived by dozens of nieces, nephews and friends she loved like family. Kay loved to laugh and taught her family to face life with joyful hearts. She opened her home and her heart to host many, many parties and celebrations. She was known for her bling and her sparkle and filled our lives with happiness. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Friday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Louise de Marillac Church at 10:30 a.m. In honor of Kay's remarkable life, her family suggests you share a laugh with someone you love.

    Sincerest sympathy to the Ford and Moore families. Kay was a delightful lady whose smile I will always remember. So sorry that I cannot attend her funeral as I am out of town but I will certainly remember her in my prayers and I know that she now rests in the arms of her Savior.
