Obituary For Catherine M. Petty

Age 90, on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, of West Homestead.

Beloved wife of the late Charles Petty; loving mother of Charles Petty, Jr., Deborah Petty, Brenda Petty, Raymond Petty, Barbara Petty, Timothy Petty and Tammy Petty; grandmother of James Petty, Crystal Rodriguez, Joseph Czerniewski, Kristen Czerniewski, Timothy Petty, Jr., Heaven M. Petty, Shane Bourne, Sophia Phar, Ryan Phar and Evan Petty; great-grandmother of Elijah Rodriguez and Maximus Petty; daughter of the late Harold and Sarah Vosler; sister of Elaine Rouse; aunt of Darren Rouse. Also survived by extended family as well. Services and visitations held privately. Arrangements handled by the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227.     Sadly, I'm remembering this week, two years ago, when I lost my beautiful Mom. Although we endured so much sadness during this time, I have to remember the beautiful times that we shared. . This time of year was very special when we were kids growing up. Spring has sprung, and Mama was getting ready for Easter. I still have vivid memories of dressing up in those cute little dresses and bonnets when she would dress us in, and take us to visit our extended family. She made every single holiday and occasion, the absolute best! Even as adults, we always shared those special times together. Mom was one of the best on earth, and I'm sure she is one of the best in heaven. I love you, mama, you are heavy on my heart this week. As you told me before, "life is better when we're together".
