Obituary For Cecelia A. "Cel" Klaphake (Fisher)

Age 81, on Sunday, January 3, 2021, of Whitehall.

Beloved wife of the late James; loving mother of Lisa (Eric) Welker and Vicki (Chris) Klacik; step-grandmother of Ashley, Joshua and Abigail Welker; sister of Donna Jones and Salvadore Fisher; sister-in-law of Carol (Alan) Chesleigh and the late William (survived by Cecyle) Klaphake; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends. Cel was a graduate of St. George High School. She was a longtime member and volunteer of St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church, Christian Mothers and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She was a generous soul who cherished singing, music and the many years she spent working for the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra. Due to gathering restrictions, visitation will be held privately at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Gabriel Church on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 10:00 am. Mask and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to. In lieu of flowers, Cel's family suggests contributions be made to the Baptist Homes Society, 489 Castle Shannon Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15234.

    Dear Lisa and Vicki- I have SO many memories of you and your parents and the many Christmas Eves and other times spent at your house. I know that our lives will have a void but hopefully your memories will help to fill the holes. May your mom's memory be for a blessing. she was such a good soul and loved you all so much.
