Obituary For Charles E. Schwarzwaelder

Age 93, on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 of Whitehall.

Beloved husband of the late Mildred Jean (Schroeder); father of Charles G., Carol J., and David (Wanda) Schwarzwaelder; grandfather of Michael and the late Grace Schwarzwaelder; brother-in-law of Shirley (James) Roncevich. Chuck, taught in the Carrick School District for more than 35 years, proudly served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and was a longtime, faithful member of Baldwin Community United Methodist Church. Due to the current public health crisis, services will be held privately. Arrangements by the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Baldwin Community United Methodist Church, 5001 Baptist Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236.

    I was saddened to hear of Chuck's passing. I worked with him for many years at the food pantry. We remember our former pantry volunteers often. He is missed. So sorry for your loss.
