Beloved husband of Dawn A. (Sheets) and the late Mary A. (Gross) Pickens; loving father of Michele (Kevin) O'Toole, Tina (Jack) Dentel, Chuck (Rhonda) Pickens, Jr., Michael (Kristi) Pickens; cherished grandfather of Justin (Erica) O'Toole, Chuck (Jaci) Pickens, Joshua (Sadie) Dentel, Brandon O'Toole, Jacqueline (Anthony) Scott, Melanie and Kate Pickens and the late Jeremy Dentel; great grandfather of Kyle Wright, Kayden O'Toole, Owen and Ian Dentel; son of the late Charles and Leona (Kremer) Pickens; brother of Pat (Ron) Wachter and the late Charlotte (John) Sedlock. Also survived by Kerri (John) Interval and family and many nieces and nephews. Charles was retired Port Authority employee. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 1-8 pm. Funeral Prayer on Wednesday morning at 10:15.
