Obituary For Charles W. "Charlie Charles Chuck" Sabo

Age 81, formerly of Brentwood, residing in Bethel Square Apartments, passed peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2024.

Beloved husband of 60 years to Barbara L. Sabo; loving father of Jodi B. (Thomas) Detmer and Scott W. (Heidi) Sabo; loving pop pop of Kahlei (Skyler) Fleming, Anthony (Cassidy Vaughan) Detmer and Brendan Green; son of the late Martha "Honey" and Charles L. Sabo; cousin of Jackie (Ken) Lawrence. Charlie retired after 33 years as a U.S. Postal Service Carrier. He was an accomplished musician and an active trumpet member of numerous community and brass bands of the Greater Pittsburgh area. Charlie was an avid deer hunter and overall outdoorsman. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends will be received at the John F Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood, PA 15227, Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Primetime Adult Daycare, Community Band South, McMurray Hills Manor or Animal Friends, Inc.
