Age 23, of Dormont, passed tragically on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Cherished son of Sheila Hein and Jason Sluka; adored brother of Julian Sluka, Jonah Sluka and Jayden Anker; grandson of Mary Clemente, the late Richard (Sue) Hein, Carlene Sluka and the late Donald Sluka; nephew of Marsha (Scot) Goisse; cousin of Noah Goisse and Sydney Goisse. Also survived by his uncles and friends. Christian enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved hiking, kayaking, motorcycling and dirt biking. He was a gifted musician who played multiple instruments that led him to being a founding member and bassist of his band, Osprey, which meant the world to him. Aside from his family, Christian is survived by his beloved childhood friends, band mates, hiking friends and his coworkers. He had a soft spot for animals, rescuing and adopting any in need. Suzie, Professor X, Pee Paws, Mittens and Cookie are living proof of that. Christian constantly put others before himself, especially his little brothers whom he loved dearly. Those who knew Christian knew love, and he will be missed. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 2-8 p.m. where a funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. September 26, 2024 September 26, 2024 Contact Us to have your link and message added here.
