Obituary For Christine Dawn Johnson

Christine Dawn Johnson
Age 46, of Baldwin, passed peacefully in her sleep on Thursday July 13, 2023.

Loving mother of Kevin (Emily) and Stephen Amlund; beloved daughter of Donald A. and Barbara (Galata) Johnson; cherished sister of Jen O'Shea, Laurie Mynatt and Donnie Johnson; aunt of Frank O'Shea, Kaitlyn O'Shea, Timmy O'Shea, Cast Mynatt and Anna O'Shea; great-aunt of Jamari Yarbrough. Chrissy was a proud member of the community receiving her Bachelors of Science in Accountancy from Duquesne University, serving as Treasurer of the Baldwin Highlander Marching Band and was a parishioner of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Chrissy dedicated her life's work to servicing underprivileged communities as a Sr. Community Planning and Development Representative at the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Rd., Brentwood 15227, on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, from 3 - 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Germaine Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Chrissy’s name to Covenant House, 31 East Armat St, Philadelphia, PA 19144.

She had such a giving heart & was the best hostess ever, while hosting parties. She had so much love to give.     Rest in Peace Chrissy, I will always remember all of the fun parties, good times. I always enjoyed hanging out when we were on a motorcycle ride together. Will always remember the ride that we tented over the weekend, and it poured! We still made it a fun time. My condolences to the family. Cindy W
