Obituary For Christine M. (DeNardo) Pyeritz

Age 64, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, of Baldwin, formerly of South Side.

Beloved wife of 38 years to Mark Pyeritz; devoted mother of Alyssa Pyeritz, Brittany (Drew) Lisiecki, Courtney (Kevin) Edwards and Dustin (Brittany Young) Pyeritz; daughter of the late Daniel and Patricia DeNardo; sister of Daniel (Beth) DeNardo, Michelle (the late John) Novak, Vincent (Michele) DeNardo, Michael (Debra) DeNardo and the late Paula DeNardo. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and lifelong friends.

Chrissy will be remembered for her spirited personality, generous heart, and her ability to bring people together-especially around the kitchen. An exceptional cook, she expressed her love through the meals she prepared, creating a home that was always filled with warmth, comfort, and laughter.
She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, including playing bingo, visiting the casino, playing cards with her children, and watching her favorite game shows and QVC. Above all, she was deeply devoted to her friends and family. She never missed an opportunity to volunteer at her kids schools, throw the best get-togethers, and be their biggest cheerleader-never missing a game, practice, or chance to support them. Her strength, humor, and unwavering love will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 1-8 p.m., where a blessing service will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m.

Mark, Alyssa, Brittany, Courtney and Dustin - Our deepest sympathy to all of you and your family. We're sorry we can't be there for you at this time, but know that we are with you all in spirit. We have sooo many good memories of Chrissy, especially when Brett and Alyssa were at Paynter. Working with her on the PTA, and just doing all of the functions with the kids. We had so much building the playgrounds, and just watching the kids grow up! Chrissy was a great cook and she made the "BEST" halushki!!! Chrissy - we love you and will miss you💕 Our deepest sympathy and condolences! The Herron Family - Tom, Robin, Brett, Ali, Finley and Kerri
