To the Swickline family I was so blessed to have Chris in my life growing up. We spent so many night on my front stoop or your steps talking about everything that life threw at us. He was my voice of reason. I cried on his shoulder many a night. We also has so many laughs together. I have always missed your family when you moved. Prayers and hugs for you all.

Heartfelt condolences to the family of Chris Swickline. The Man Who Listened. Even though I never met the man, he was a man that provided results. I had major issues with the noise pollution from the roof air conditioning units at Dormont Elementary running 24/7. After years of frustration and no results I decided to contact the person in charge of the school district - Chris Swickline. I left a number of pleading messages for help - in a short time - the a/c was off on weekends. Then in the evenings. I'd leave messages for Chris - if something came up and the units were left running on the weekends. Pretty soon I was leaving different messages for him - thanking him because I could hear the birds chirping, the buzzing locusts, the cricket symphony, a screech owl, the sound of silence. I was able to enjoy my life on our front porch again because Chris listened to my pleas. I would leave messages for him thanking him for my life back and let him know I prayed for him. One of my last messages left, I thanked him for listening. I tried a few times after that, but couldn't get through, I think they put in a new phone system. I am forever grateful for his ability to hear and listen and take action. I never personally knew him, but felt as though I did because of what he accomplished for me. I can only imagine all the other lives he touched. He made a difference. Thoughts and prayers to his family. Sincerely, Patti Peterson

I am so sorry to hear of Chris's sudden passing. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. I have known Chris for about 3 years now and found him to be a great guy. Chris was always upbeat and a pleasure to work with. Chris was very knowledgeable and wise. A genuinely nice person. I have had the pleasure of working with Chris very closely on some projects at Keystone Oaks School District most notably the site improvements completed at each of the four school campuses in 2015. God bless Chris, his family, friends and coworkers. Chris will be sorely missed by many, not the least of which will be the folks at Keystone Oaks School District where he provided insightful guidance and leadership and was responsible for so many important functions.
