Obituary For Clarence M. "Mel" Jackson

Age 91, on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, formerly of Arlington.

Beloved husband of the late Linda L. (Twigg) and the late Carol; loving father of Ronald (Denise), Thomas and Donald (Tina) Jackson; cherished grandfather of Amanda, Jacob, Gabrielle, Kellie, Mercedes (Josh) and the late David; also a proud great-grandfather; brother of the late Irene (Chuck) Turcic and Mirel Jackson. Also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and various extended family. Mel honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1954-1958. He was a lifelong steel worker. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, November 6, 2026 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home Chapel.

    We're sorry to hear of Mel's passing. We were so happy to find Mel and hear his stories of the Jackson family. We were hoping we would get to see him again., but we know we'll have a big Jackson reunion in Heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Mel's family. Paul and Carol Meola
