Clarke was real radio and a great guy. It was August 7th 1981,sign on at noon, Clarke was our program director for WBXQ Q-94 Cresson,Altoona,Johnstown. His first PD job! He put this station on the map with the $100,000 music guarantee,53 minutes of music every hour. First rating book 7..2. He would also visit my home in Ebensburg and we talked"RADIO". Rock on above Clarke..Ed Sherlock

I was the Music Director at WPPJ when Clarke blasted in. Several times on Sunday nights we would go out to an acquaintenance of his house in Mt. Lebanon and play some music on a pirate radio station. Clarke was a life force. We did not always agree on what would or would not resonate with our audience, but he knew a hit. RIP Clarke.
