Age 98, born in Petrella Tifernina, Italy, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Beloved wife of 73 years to the late Roberto Marinelli; loving mother of Riccardo (Marie) Marinelli and the late Nicholas (the late Maureen) Marinelli; caring Nonna of Robert (Valerie), Gabrielle (Jake Kocsis) and Michael Marinelli; daughter of the late Liberato and Maria Atenisio; sister of the late Antoinetta and Ida. Connie was a seamstress and alterationist at several fine clothing stores in the Pittsburgh area. She spent countless hours tending to her vegetable garden, canning homegrown tomatoes and making innumerable gallons of tomato sauce to prepare delicious meals for her family and friends. Not only was Connie known for her quick smile, but also for her delicious assorted cookie trays which she shared with everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 3-7 p.m. Funeral prayer on Saturday morning at 9:45. Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Trinity Parish, St. Albert the Great Church at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Brothers Brother Foundation, 1200 Galveston Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
