Obituary For Cyril "Nick" Forney

Age 71, of Brookline, formerly of Allentown, on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

Husband of 48 years to Patricia (Darney) Forney; father of Cyril N. III (Melissa) Forney and Erin (Marcus) Jester; Pappy of Nicholas and Ella Forney and Marcus, Jr. and Wesley Jester; brother of Roseanne (John) Farkasovsky and the late Bernice McCloskey and LaVerne (Joe) Lauterbach. Nick worked for the Pittsburgh Board of Education as a Building Inspector. Visitation and services were held privately at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227.

    So very sorry for your loss. Prayers for all who mourn his passing. I have fond memories of Nick from our school days. For some reason we found something funny about the Nazi general Rommel and wrote notes that we found increasingly hysterical. Good thing it was the end of the school year or we'd have been busted for sure!
