May 5, 1919 - February 8, 2017 Skettino, Cyrus F. "Sketto"Age 97, peacefully with his granddaughters at his side, on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, of Whitehall, formerly of Steubenville,Ohio. Husband of the late Ann Skettino. Beloved father of Linda A. (and the late Bruce) Miscin; proud Pa-Pa of Melanie L. (Les) Smith and Liza M. (Abdul) Salem; great-grandfather of Alexa, Blaze, Armon, Aryonna, Yaseen, Samia and Tasneem; brother of the late Albert Skettino. Also survived by "sons at heart" Ray Hutton and Jim Konesky, cousins and friends. Cyrus proudly served his country during WWII in the 75th Infantry in the US Army where he was highly decorated. He was well known as the owner and proprietor of the Original DiCarlo's Pizza on Rt. 51 in Overbrook. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral prayer on Monday morning at 9:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to National Multiple Sclerosis Society - PA Keystone Chapter, 1501 Reedsdale St., Ste. 105 Pittsburgh, PA 15233.
