Obituary For Dale J. Kohut

Age 70, of the Southside, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023.

Loving father of Josh and Nate Kohut, Christina and Denise Rau, Michelle Both, Byron Kohut and Dale Rae Hulings; son of Margaret Kohut; brother of Dennis Kohut and Christina Edgar. Dale served in the US Navy during Vietnam and worked for Marshall Elevator for 15 years. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at a later date in St. Pius X Church in Carrick.

    My name is Scottie. I used to work at the beer store in Carrick. I referred to him as Admiral and always greeted him with a stern salute. He was my favorite customer. I ran into him around town and we would always chat for five minutes or so. A great man and a proud patriot.
