I recently learned of Dave's passing (April 2025). My deepest sympathies to Susie and the Gannis family. I played drums in Dave's band "False Pretense" in the early 90's. Dave was a great bandmate and a valued friend. I feely very fortunate that our paths crossed.

My sympathy to Susie and the Gannis family. Dave was a kind soul and good friend in high school. It still makes me smile thinking about him asking if my Dad still had all those guns. Apparently, my Dad made a lasting impression on him as a young suitor. God Bless. Donna (Milliron) Miller

Words cannot express my sorrow for the loss of a beautiful person. Dave, I wish we could have caught a Steeler or Pens game at a sports bar like we talked about. I would have loved to meet your wife. You would love the men in my life I always post about. (Hubby, sons and grandsons). I pray that our Lord wraps His arms around your family in comfort and peace. Rest easy my dear, old friend.

Sending prayers and love to David's family in this most difficult time. Being a PIKA Brother was a surprise to me. I was a music major and guys like me didn't usually get rushed. I was honored by the invitation but what I didn't know was that these young men would be in my heart forever. David was a kind and wonderful spirit whose heart always was open to us all. I can hear his laugh and feel his presence as I think about him and how God has called him home. I'm grateful for David's friendship. I will carry it with me always. Brian Powell PIKA/CMU/1981
