Obituary For David S. Kochanski, Sr.

October 23, 1949 - January 11, 2019

Kochanski, David S., Sr., age 69, on Friday, January 11, 2019 of Southside Slopes.

Beloved husband of Renee (Frizzell) Kochanski; loving father of Denise (Jerry) Caliguri, Brandy (Kirk) Stecik and David S., Jr. (Kayla Goralzick); proud grandfather of Cheyenne, Frank, Briar, Brody, Ayden and Hunter; son of the late Harry J., Sr. and Regina Kochanski; brother of Harry J., Jr. (Char) Kochanski; uncle of Kirk, Kimberly, and Ken and their families. David served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was a 35-year member of Union Local #2264. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 15 & 16, 2019 from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.

    I have very fond memories of how kind Dave was when my pappy, Dave Cahill, would take me swimming at his house when I was a kid. Such good people are taken from this world far too soon. I send my condolences and prayers to his family and friends.
