September 7, 1954 - March 6, 2019

Dougherty, Delmer "Del" Sr., age 64, of Pittsburgh, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Beloved husband and soulmate of 45 years to Karen (Malone) Dougherty; loving father to Delmer Jr. (Laura), Wayne (Nicole), Bryan and Candace (Adam); grandfather to Ian, Dylan (Richard), Shiloh, Denico, Darrin, Brianna, Brittany and future grand baby; loving brother, brother in-law and favorite uncle of many nieces and nephews. Del was a master painter of 40+ years. Considerate of others and excited by the worlds mysteries and anything to do with UFO's. He was always the life of the party and first to forgive. Dels most enjoyable moments were spending time with family, reading his bible and watching YouTube and Sci-Fi with a coffee and a Lucky Strike. "Del was a good guy" ~ Del Sr. Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 4-7:45 p.m. at which time a blessing service will be held.

    My Uncle Del had a smile that will light up a room. He had a heart of gold he always made everyone laugh I'll always remember his Lucky strike cigarettes, coffee, plaid shirts & his baseball hats. Most of all the Love he has for his Family.
